general terms and conditions, payment, cancellation policy and privacy

We hope to offer you a pleasant stay in our chalet. Before this happens, the following steps will be taken:

  1. Indicate via the site what data you are interested in and take a provisional option via the site.
  2. Receipt of an email confirming your provisional option.
  3. Receipt of mail in which your option is considered as a reservation and that it is only final when you pay the deposit, 30% of the rent. After this you can cancel free of charge up to three weeks before arrival. If a reservation is made less than three weeks before arrival, it can be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours after booking.

    If you reserve the Deer's antlers for a period in which a travel restriction to and in Switzerland appears to apply (Code Orange or Code Red), you can cancel free of charge.
  1. At least 3 weeks before arrival date, the full travel sum must be paid. If this is not paid, the landlord reserves the right to cancel the reservation. In that case you will not receive an email with a reminder. After full payment you will receive an email with route and key information.
  1. Your holiday can begin!

 

General terms and conditions

1.1 Website information. The information on the Deer's antlers chalet on the website has been compiled with care. It is possible that, due to circumstances, the description or photographs no longer entirely correspond to the current situation. For example, it may be that the shop is a little further or there is a new bank. As long as these are not major differences, you cannot hold us responsible for this. Otherwise, of course, we would like to hear from you.

1.2 Guest (contact) information. We need the information we request from you and your travel company for the booking. You can read how we handle this information in our privacy policy (see bottom of this page).

1.3 Expectations. You are counting on (and looking forward to!) a nice holiday in a well-kept house. Conversely, of course, we also assume that you and your company behave like good guests. Of course we understand that guests do not cause nuisance and inconvenience and leave the house as it was found.

1.4 Cleaning. You can choose to leave the house clean and tidy. That means: the toilets, all other sanitary and kitchen are well stocked and the floors are vacuumed. (Leave toilet paper for your successors.) The refrigerator must be completely empty (!); please don't leave open mustard jars or half cartons of milk behind, no matter how well-intentioned. Also, the sink is empty; there is no (dirty!) dishes left. Pillows and duvets are again neatly folded in the cupboards in the various rooms. Also all garbage bags (in the orange bags of the municipality), the glass, old paper and plastic bottles have to be brought to the "Kericht" (waste disposal). (There are two "garbage disposal" places in the village. One on the village street (Hauskericht), and one further down the village, next to the school. This one is bigger and you can also bring nespresso cups here). Should it turn out that the house has been left so dirty that it still needs special cleaning, these extra costs will be charged to the landlord.

You can indicate when booking that you prefer to have the house cleaned. Also linen that you use from the house itself can be washed. In that case leave the sheets, towels, tea towels etc. neatly behind so that our "Abwahrt" can take them at once. For both things you pay an extra amount on top of your rent.

1.5 Damage. It can of course happen that you (or your guests) cause damage in or around the holiday home. Report the damage as soon as possible to us and to the caretaker (whose details you will find on arrival), so no one will be surprised. In this case you are liable for this damage.

1.6 We are not liable for damage as a result of circumstances caused by you or the travel company or third parties. Nor are we liable if there are local problems with electricity or water or if there are exceptional weather conditions.

1.7 Help and assistance. If you need urgent personal help or assistance during your stay, please call us, but also the Abwahrt (whose details you will find on arrival). Emergency numbers are available in the chalet.

1.8 Errors and misunderstandings. We are private homeowners who cherish great love for the chalet and the valley and act in good conscience. Should any misunderstandings arise regarding rental (conditions) or otherwise, we assume that the tenant and owner communicate about this in a pleasant, open and polite manner.

Payment

  1. The rent is paid in CHF.
  2. Your option is only final after a deposit of 30% of the rent. You can transfer this on account:

We ask you no later than three weeks before departure to deposit the full amount into the account, after which the rent is final.

 

Cancellation policy

You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to 3 weeks before arrival (time indicated in the e-mail with the reservation confirmation). If a reservation is made less than 3 weeks before arrival, it can be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours after booking.

Privacy policy

When requesting an option, you and your guests will be asked for your name and date of birth. We need these details in order to pay the tourist tax at the municipality of Wiler. All guests receive a personal tourist card from us. (This card can be requested.) This card entitles you to benefits, such as the free use of the Gondola in the summer. The rental contract will be made with your details, but after that we will do nothing with it. We do not send a newsletter.
